About Us

Our Mission

We offer children an environment where they can develop life skills that will prepare them for a successful life and where they can feel at home. To help children develop future social, emotional, and cognitive skills, we encourage imitative play in resource-rich environments. While parents work, we provide good nutrition and a safe, nurturing environment.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a pleasant, safe and familiar environment where physical, cognitive, social and emotional development is encouraged for all children from the age of 2 months to 5 years. Our vision is to create an enriching environment that encourages the comprehensive development of each child. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where each child is valued for their unique qualities and encouraged to explore, learn and grow at their own pace.

Our Philosophy

Children are unique individuals who learn in different rhythms. They have different styles of learning, they learn by playing and gain knowledge through exploring while playing on their own. As a teacher, I create a safe, friendly, and rich environment where children and families will feel at ease. My role as a teacher is to demonstrate good manners in the way I talk and conduct myself on a daily basis because children learn from what they see and hear. As a teacher, it is very important to know the individual and the stages of development that children are going through. With the technique of evaluation, we can determine every situation but there is nothing better than the same dynamic that occurs in the classroom. Each child is characterized by certain strengths and skills, as a teacher I will be receptive to recognize and work with each of the situations.

Being a teacher is a symbol of art, it is the art of educating, and can be defined in many ways. Education must have critical knowledge development and critical thinking for the children as the main shaft. I think that the most important role of a teacher would be to serve as a role model for the children by teaching them manners and helping them develop good habits. I believe that a good teacher is one that promotes a respectful and aid-effective harmonious environment for children.

My philosophy of education is based and influenced by psychologist Lev Vygotsky who says that “children who develop their learning through social interaction are acquiring new and better cognitive skills as a logical process of their evolution”. As a teacher, it is very important to know the individual and the stages of development in which the children are. With the evaluation technique, we can determine each situation but there is nothing better than the same dynamic that occurs in the classroom. As a teacher, I am focused on each individual child because I know that each child develops at their own pace according to the psychologist Piaget and Lev Vygotsky children learn through games. So I maintain an adequate environment for children to feel safe and motivated to learn. I like to implement a rich curriculum in activities that help them develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. That is why in this way, through daily routines, I promote intellectual growth by offering opportunities for learning about oneself, others, and the world around them.

My values as a professional and my philosophy go hand in hand to positively influence children and contribute to their overall development.

Our History

I had always felt a calling for children’s care and teaching since a very young age. After coming to this country in the year 2009, I had spent a decent amount of time working for friends and family who had child care centers of their own, knowing that this was definitely my calling. In the year 2014 I officially decided to pursue this calling and established Reyita’s Family Child Care in Franklin Hill, Dorchester MA.

Immediately, families from the neighborhood began to hear about our program and enrolled their children, creating family bonds that still live to this day as they referred me to more and more family and friends in need of child care. Reyita’s Family Child Care was the home away from home for many families in the neighborhood.

Our reputation grew fast as families were impressed by their children’s rapid development and easy transition into their kindergarten years. Our tender love and care along with our dedicated attention to each individual child were the factors that differentiated us from other child care programs. Our mission from the start was to be more than just a place for parents to drop their kids off, we wanted to achieve a program where children left well-nourished, loved, educated and well-mannered.

Fast forward to the year 2021, we were able to relocate to 143 Summer St in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Not only did we upgrade all of our amenities and equipment but we officially made a change to Children’s Learning and Play House Inc. Although our name and location are different, our mission remains unchanged.
